Shanghai is a microcosm of the Shanghai-style culture: the Shangkang Road Shikumen houses the memories of the Republic era, the City God Temple is filled with fragrant snacks, and the Oriental Pearl Tower overlooks the bustling banks of the Huangpu River. Wuzhen is a model of a water town: the cobblestone roads wind along, the oarsailing boats navigate the canals, and the blue printed cloth flutters; when the lights come on at night, the small bridges and flowing water seem like a thousand years ago.Suzhou embodies the elegance of Jiangnan: the Qipao Garden has pavilions and towers forming poems, the Suzhou Museum combines tradition and modernity; the Peking Opera music and strings are melodious, and the Zhu Xianren snacks contain the flavor of Jiangsu.Nanjing is a repository of historical weight: night tours along the Qinhuai River reveal "the prosperity of Jinling", Confucius Temple is lined with ancient buildings; Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum carries memories, and the museum preserves the veins of the ancient capital.

Five days on exploring the essence of Jiangnan: Shanghai & Suzhou & Nanjing & Shanghai
l Summary:
The first stop of this trip is Shanghai, which is known as the "Eastern Paris" with a rich Shanghai-style culture. In Shanghai, Mr. Lao Kele will lead a stroll along Wukang Road, where you can admire the old stone gate buildings and explore the history of the Republic of China. You will also visit Yu Garden and taste the special snacks of Chenghuang Temple. After climbing the Oriental Pearl Tower to overlook the cityscape of the "Magic City".
Finally, we will take a night cruise on the Huangpu River to admire the foreign-style buildings on the Bund and experience the charm of Shanghai's night view.
Suzhou - Habitat of Ancient Southern Culture. Suzhou is the representative of ancient Southern culture, known as "Garden Gathering, Thousand-Year Ancient Charm". After arriving in Suzhou on the second day, you can taste Suzhou cuisine, listen to Suzhou storytelling. You will also visit the Qipao Garden and the Suzhou Museum to experience the beauty of gardens and architecture.
Nanjing - City with the Legacy of Six Dynasties. Nanjing is the "Six Dynasties Capital" with a thick historical heritage. We will visit the Confucius Temple, and enjoy the night view of the Qinhuai River at night, admiring the "Little Jinling" at night. We will also visit the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and the Nanjing Museum to learn more about history and culture.

Day1 :Shanghai& free time activites

Welcome to Magic City Shanghai!
The plane landed in Shanghai, officially marking the start of our journey. Our airport pickup staff was already waiting at the exit to take us to the hotel and help us drop off our luggage. The rest of the day was free time! We could wander the streets at leisure, find a corner café to sit in, and listen to the Shanghainese dialect mingling with the bustling city sounds. Tonight, we would sleep tight, accompanied by the dazzling lights of Shanghai.

Day2 (Shanghai→Nanjing):Suzhou Zhoupu Garden + Suzhou Museum + Strolling along Pingjiang Road

Morning: Old Kele will guided us through Wukang Road. The 1924 Wukang Building once housed many celebrities, while the Shikumen stone-gate houses stand as testaments to Republican-era Shanghai ingenuity—their carved doorframes and courtyard wells preserving old Shanghai's legacy. We even heard anecdotes about Eileen Chang's residence here.
Noon: After lunch, we visited Yu Garden, the most famous garden building in Shanghai., a witness to centuries of Shanghai's commerce, we sampled local snacks like Xiaolongbao soup dumplings and pear syrup candy from the City God Temple market—delicacies preserved since the late Qing era.


Afternoon: We ascended the Oriental Pearl Tower, overlooking the Huangpu River where the Bund's colonial edifices on the west bank face Lujiazui's modern skyscrapers on the east—a striking panorama of Shanghai's "Magic City" duality.
Evening: After driving to Suzhou, we savored Suzhou-style cuisine (a Ming-Qing dynasty literati favorite) before strolling along Pingjiang Road—a Song-dynasty thoroughfare—listening to Pingtan storytelling artists perform century-old ballads, their melodies steeped in cultural resonance.
Day3 (Suzhou → Nan Jing):Humble Administrator’s Garden + Suzhou Museum + Pingjiang Road

Morning: We began at the Humble Administrator’s Garden—a Ming-dynasty masterpiece built by Censor Wang Xianchen. Next, we visited the Suzhou Museum, where classical garden aesthetics blend with contemporary architecture.
Noon: Lunch at Zhu Xinnian, a time-honored eatery operating since 1913. Here we savored glutinous rice balls (tangtuan), an essential Lunar New Year tradition captuzring authentic Suzhou flavors


Afternoon: Took the high-speed train to Nanjing. First stop: the Confucius Temple complex, a bustling hub since the Six Dynasties era (220-589 AD). Nearby Wuyi Alley was once the elite enclave of the Wang and Xie aristocratic clans.
Evening: We cruised the Qinhuai River at twilight, listening to skilled female punters narrate legends of the "Eight Qinhuai Singing Girls"—courtesans who shaped culture during the Ming-Qing transition.


Day4(Nanjing→Shanghai): Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum + Nanjing Museum
- Accommodation:Shanghai
Morning: We ascended the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum—completed in 1929 as the final resting place of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, blending Chinese and Western architectural motifs.
Noon: Savored Nanjing specialties like yaxue fansi tang (duck blood and vermicelli soup), iconic flavors of the city.


Afternoon: Explored the Nanjing Museum, originally founded as the National Central Museum in 1933. Its ritual bronzes and classical paintings string together Jiangsu's 5,000-year cultural narrative.
Evening: Took the high-speed rail back to Shanghai for a Huangpu River night cruise, marveling at the illuminated colonial edifices along the Bund.

Day5: Airport drop-off service
Morning: In the morning, there is free time for guests. They can go shopping in the city center or visit other attractions.
Afternoon: Transfer to the airport, carrying a treasure trove of memories as our journey concludes.

If you cancel or cannot take your tour as a consequence of force majeure, Egotrip will refund the amount you have paid less any non-recoverable out-of-pocket costs incurred on your behalf - car rentals, admissions, hotel reservations, tickets etc. We may require you to provide verification to confirm that you were unable to take your tour if you request a refund under this provision.
Force Majeure includes impersonal events such as war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, earthquake or natural disaster that makes it dangerous or impossible to safely undertake the tour. The determination of what constitutes 'Force Majeure' is at the discretion of Egotrip.
For cancellation due to any other reasons (such as illness, change of personal circumstances), the date on which the request to cancel is received by Egotrip will determine the refund due as follows:
If you cancel 7 days or more before the start of the tour:10% cancellation fee.
If you cancel 6 to 2 days before the start of the tour:50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel less than 1 day before the start of the tour or no show: 100% cancellation fee.
