About Intangible Cultural Heritage

China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage is deeply woven into everyday life—it is a witness to history, a reflection of the people’s wisdom, and a living thread of cultural continuity.
Today, it has also become one of the most important gateways for the world to understand China.

As tourism professionals, we are passionate about sharing these cultural treasures with every traveler who visits China.
Through the simplest and most authentic experiences, we hope to let visitors not just see China, but truly feel it—through a traditional opera, a cup of tea, or a handcrafted piece of art.
This is where the charm of intangible heritage comes alive.

Longjing Tea Processing Techniques

Longjing tea-picking is our most popular intangible cultural heritage experience. We collaborate with local tea farmers to carry out this meaningful activity. Longjing tea is a world-famous green tea, processed entirely by hand. From tea-picking to pan-firing, the entire process reflects centuries-old knowledge tied to Jiangnan’s tea culture.

Tea Ceremony Performance & Dian Cha

In China, tea is more than a drink — it is a symbol of respect, harmony, and inner peace. The tea ceremony reflects the essence of Chinese philosophy: calmness, simplicity, and the balance between humans and nature.

Song Dynasty Tea Whisking Performance, also known as Dian Cha(点茶).The process involved grinding tea leaves into powder, then adding hot water and vigorously whisking with a bamboo whisk until a thick layer of foam appeared on the surface — a skillful act combining precision and grace.

Today, we revive this ancient ritual, letting you witness the elegance and refinement of Chinese tea heritage.
Let the rhythm of whisking and the beauty of the foam take you back to a time when tea was both an art and a philosophy.

Pingtan

What most people are familiar with is the ‘mother of Chinese opera’ - Kunqu Opera. It was listed as an intangible cultural heritage in 2001. However, it is quite challenging to watch Kunqu Opera. In recent years, more and more people have developed a fondness for another type of Chinese opera - Pingtan. Pingtan is a traditional storytelling and singing art performed in the Suzhou dialect, usually in tea houses or small theaters.

You can imagine in a traditional tea house at Suzhou & Hanzghou& Shanghai Zhujiajiao, sipping a seasonal tea, enjoying local snacks, and watching a traditional opera - it's a very relaxing and comfortable experience.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture

Pulse Diagnosis(把脉): Meet with a skilled TCM doctor for a traditional pulse reading. By feeling your wrist pulses, the doctor interprets your body’s internal balance and offers personalized wellness advice.

Herbal Foot Bath(草药足浴): Enjoy a relaxing foot soak infused with carefully selected Chinese herbs tailored to your body type — to relieve stress, improve circulation, and restore balance.

DIY Herbal Sachet (香囊): Create your own TCM herbal sachet using ingredients like mugwort, mint, and clove. These pouches can help calm the nerves, repel insects, and carry the soothing scent of tradition with you.

Seasonal Aesthetic Dining

As society evolves, food is no longer just a means of satisfying hunger — it has become a way to express beauty, culture, and connection. We believe a meal should not be rushed within 30 minutes, but thoughtfully enjoyed as a celebration of time, season, and place.

Drawing inspiration from nature’s cycles, we design seasonal dining experiences rooted in local ingredients and traditional culture. Each themed table is a sensory journey through the four seasons:

Spring – Longjing Tea Banquet: Fresh tea leaves inspire a menu of awakening and renewal.
Summer – Lotus Banquet: A cooling, elegant spread that captures the fleeting grace of blooming lotus.
Autumn – Hairy Crab Feast: The richness of harvest reflected in every bite of sweet, tender crab.
Winter – Persimmon Banquet: A warm, nourishing gathering centered around the symbol of good fortune.
